A Special Group: Division 1
Lots of Fun!

Today, we learned how to write effective paragraphs.  The students learned that they need to have a main idea, introductory sentence, details, and a concluding sentence and then to check for punctuation, spelling and grammar.  Here is our very messy brainstorm, draft and revision of our class paragraph. Students should be working on their own paragraphs at home.  I look forward to reading them on Tuesday.

Reminders:
- Monday is a non-instructional day
- Tuesday: - rough copy of your paragraph
                 - Early Humans page
- continue working on divisibility rules project
Name Banner not handed in by: Wasif, Jacob, Jaspreet, Jayden, Karan, Mackenzie, and Priya

Wednesday, September 21

Today, we started work on a project presenting our learning about divisibility rules.  Students have free choice in the manner in which they would like to present their learning.  The criteria is that they need to share the rules for divisibility for the numbers from 2 - 10 using examples and explanations.  It is due on October 5th.  Some students are choosing to create gameshows, boardgames, PowerPoints, videos or posters.

We are also learning about Early Man in Social Studies.  For your reference, here is the PowerPoint used to present the material today.
