Yesterday our newscaster, Shivam, brought us some controversial news about a new law that has been passed. Today we discussed the topic further. The two topics we discussed were assisted suicide and the death penalty. We talked about the pros and cons and later we will be writing an essay on our viewpoint. It is a difficult topic to discuss but we tried to deal with it gently.

Parents who have not had a chance yet to comment on their child's portfolio should do so. It serves as a signature on the electronic portfolio. If you do not know your access code please email me and I will send you an invitation to the portfolio. The initial invitations were sent out in December.

Parent teacher conferences are  on Thursday and if you would like a chance to discuss your child's progress please make an appointment by calling the office at 604–594–2408.

- Rough copy of three synonym poems

– Both grade 6 and grade 7 students will be having a math test on Friday on unit three.

– Grade sixes need to work on number one and number two on page 111

- Grade sevens, math workbook page 64 and 65

– Please bring pizza money to school if you ordered pizza
